P25
If you work for a Police, Fire, EMS, or other public safety agency, you know about the importance of Project 25 (P25), the suite of standards for digital radio communications for use by federal, state and local agencies in North America.
North Carolina (Viper) and many local Counties and Cities operate P25 radio systems that provide users choices on what radios work best for their needs.
RCC serves a large number of public safety agencies and we know P25. RCC is proud to offer P25 radios from Harris, Kenwood/EFJohnson, and Tait that are approved on Viper and other local systems. Let’s discuss the choices you have to meet operational and budget requirements.
DMR
DMR represents a cost effective, efficient way to introduce digital radio communication into your organization. DMR can operate in direct, repeated, and trunked modes, as a single site or multi-site wide area network. DMR provides operational benefits over analog such as better audio quality, improved coverage, text messaging, control services, better spectrum efficiency, communications security, and improved portable battery life.
Using 2-Slot TDMA Technology, DMR meets narrow-banding requirements while providing two talk-paths per narrow-band RF channel. Repeaters, mobile, portable, and control station radios round out the offering.
RCC is proud to offer DMR solutions from multiple manufactures – Hytera, Tait and Vertex Standard.
NXDN
NXDN is a digital two way radio protocol that is the result of a joint technical alliance between Icom Incorporated and JVC KENWOOD Corporation.
While NXDN was primarily targeted as a solution for business and industry market segments at the beginning, the acceptance of NXDN worldwide has now reached a level where virtually all market segments including some public safety entities are using NXDN.
